The Mustang Directory reflects the name, year of birth, color, origin, and sire and dam as it appears in various sources of public information. The reason for duplicate entries are discrepancies in the information provided to the public. The same horse may be called by many different names or represented with different years of birth, sire and/or dam.
The CEO acknowledges that while the list is incomplete, the Directory may be used as a reference by the viewer to trace the origin of each Mustang.
Purity is designated only in those Kigers who have been verified and registered by AKHR. Those Kiger’s names will be in BOLD type.
Definitions:
* This symbol may appear next to a name or in the second column of the Directory and designates a challenge by AKHR as to the horse’s origin The challenge represents a warning that the horse in question may not be a full or partial-blooded Kiger. The challenge could also mean that the horse’s origin may not be from one of the two (2) recognized Kiger Herd Management Areas or who has ancestors that are registered as Kigers that did not originate from one of the Kiger HMAs. The challenge does not include partial-blood Kigers of mixed breeds with ancestors that are Quarter Horse, Arab, or other mustangs.
